ABOUT THE ESTONIAN NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
& JOYCE YANG:
With Conductor Nikolai Alexeev, this esteemed 80 year-old orchestra is one of the last great European ensembles that has not yet toured in the United States. Experience their mastery, joined by that of virtuosic pianist Joyce Yang, the Cliburn Competition’s award winner for Best Performance and Best New Work.
 
Under the direction of Paavo Jarvi (Artistic Advisor since 2002), the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra has recorded several internationally acclaimed discs for Virgin Classics, winning a Grammy Award in 2003 and BBC Music Magazine's Best Orchestral Recording award in 2006.
