ABOUT BELA FLECK & THE FLECKTONES "THE HOLIDAY TOUR:" Featuring Victor Lemonte Wooten, Future Man and Jeff Coffin “Jingle All the Way does what all great Christmas records ought to - keep the essence of the underlying songs while bringing out something new and unexpected to make them fresh and worth another listen.” – Associated Press Led by the man whom many consider the premiere banjo player in the world, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones have created a genre all their own, fusing jazz and bluegrass into a unique and award-winning sound they dub “blu-bop.” Frontman Béla Fleck first assembled the group in 1989, and they have since earned a devoted following, receiving 18 Grammy Awards and performing for 500,000 people yearly. They return to the VPAC in a program that highlights songs from their Grammy Award-winning holiday album Jingle All The Way. Tunes include a sparkling banjo-harmonic arrangement of “Christmas Time is Here,” a fiery rendition of “Sleigh Ride” as well as classic Flecktones favorites.
