Facility Information
The Vilar Performing Arts Center is located at 68 Avondale Lane in the Market Square building, directly beneath the Black Family Ice Rink on Beaver Creek Plaza. Vehicular and pedestrian entrance available from Avondale Lane with pedestrian access also available from the escalators on plaza level. The Theater:
530 seats in horse-shoe seating arrangement; 416 on orchestra and parterre levels, 90 in balcony and 24 box seats on two levels.
Two adjacent 2,200square-foot lobbies.
Flexible proscenium opening, height-25', width-45' which can be reduced to 38'. Stage right is 50'x 36' deep, stage left is 25'x 36' deep.
The full stage rigging includes 35 line sets, sound and lighting booth with separate follow spot booth, 2 Lycian Stark Lite II spotlights, 2 star dressing rooms and 2 chorus dressing rooms which hold 12-14 performers each.
The auditorium and lobby areas are also available for private functions such as elegant dinners, cocktail receptions or company meetings.

The May Gallery:
This recently redesigned space is located adjacent to the balcony entrances of the theater. It features a 2,000 square-foot lounge elegantly designed by Savage & Associates of Encino, California. Velvet couches, cloth walls and a grand piano lend to the beauty of the Gallery and compliment the antique architectural drawings on permanent loan from Peter and Leni May. Patrons Society members may visit the May Gallery before or after performances and it is also available for private functions.
