Please name the Vilar Performing Arts Center in the check memo, to ensure that the gift is designated properly. The Vail Valley Foundation’s Tax ID Number is 74-2215035.

Stock Gifts: Donation of stock is one of the most tax-smart ways to give, allowing you to avoid capital gains tax. Click here to obtain the detailed instructions on how to make a stock transfer to the Vail Valley Foundation (VPAC). Please note that it is important to notify the VPAC prior to any stock transfer in order for us to properly identify and acknowledge your gift.

Matching Gifts: Do you know if your employer participates in a Matching Gift program? If so, please take a moment to maximize your gift to the VPAC (at no cost to you) by requesting a matching gift form from your employer. Contact your HR department to find out if your company offers such a program. Matching gifts may qualify you for additional donor benefits.

Tribute Gifts: Celebrate or honor the life of someone special with a contribution to the VPAC. Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to honor a loved one’s passion for the performing arts. You will receive a tax receipt for the gift and a notice will be sent to the honoree or a designated family member of your thoughtful contribution. The amount of your gift will be kept confidential.

IRA Charitable Rollover: If you are 70½ or older, you have a special tax-free opportunity to make a meaningful charitable gift to the VPAC through an IRA Charitable Rollover as part of the required minimum distribution. To make a gift from your IRA, contact your plan administrator or VPAC Senior Development Manager Whitney Harper.

Planned Gifts: Planned gifts include bequests, charitable gift annuities, life insurance policies, retirement plan assets and IRAs, and other giving vehicles. Click here to learn more.

Corporate Sponsorship: Companies of all sizes are invited to explore our corporate sponsorship opportunities, which provide excellent brand exposure and hospitality benefits. To learn more, please contact Artist Services Coordinator Allison Mahn at amahn@vvf.org or 970.748.6656.

If a donor is giving to VVF through an entity in which you have already received a tax-deduction, such as a Private Foundation, DAF, Charitable Trust and/or if a portion of your gift is being made through a Matching Gifts Program, there may be restrictions specific to receiving benefits. Please contact your tax-adviser if you have questions regarding your specific situation. The Vail Valley Foundation cannot knowingly facilitate a donor receiving an improper tax deduction or other benefit nor can we knowingly accept a gift that would result in impermissible private inurement or private benefit, an “excess benefit transaction” (as defined in section 4958 of the Internal Revenue Code), or self-dealing (as defined in section 4941 of the Internal Revenue Code).
